Cub Scout Investiture

Normally during the Cub meeting. Parents/Guardians, brothers and sisters, Grandparents along with
friends and family members are very welcome to attend. Do remember your camera.

UNIFORM

Scouting is a uniformed organisation. The new Cub Scout should attend the investiture in uniform with
the exception of a necker, woggle and badges. Beavers should be in full beaver uniform and hand
their cub jumper to Akela at the beginning of the meet.

The cub uniform is as follows:

Dark green long sleeved sweatshirt in the approved style incorporating the scout association's logo on
right sleeve. Group necker and woggle.

Official long blue activity trousers and dark footwear is preferred

The official Cub uniform sweatshirt may be obtained from Rawcliffes 17, Colliergate, York or from
the Internet scout shops, www.scoutshops.com or www.glasgowscoutshop.org.uk

The group necker (not available from the shop) along with badges, handbook and woggle are supplied
by the scout group. An investiture fee of £13 is charged to cover the cost of these .

BADGES

With certain exceptions. Cub scout badges are provided without further charge. The badges
presented at the investiture should be positioned as shown. These will include: Membership Badge,
Group nametape, District and County badges.
